This page explains what information Pearson's collects when you use this website, how we use it, and the choices you have. We keep it short and plain because that's how we'd want to read it.

Food orders. Online food orders are placed on Toast's ordering site at order.toasttab.com, which is run by Toast, not by Pearson's. Anything you enter there — your order, contact details, and payment — is handled by Toast under their privacy policy. We don't process those orders on this website.

Shop purchases. When you buy coffee, merch, or other goods from our online shop, payment is processed by Stripe. Your card details go directly to Stripe; Pearson's does not see or store your full card number.

Your email address. If you set up a coffee subscription or sign in to manage an order, we use your email address to send a sign-in link ("magic link") and to manage your account, orders, and subscription.

Site analytics. We collect basic, aggregate usage data — like which pages are visited — to understand how the site is used and to improve it. This is general traffic information, not a profile of you by name.

We use the information above to:

• Fulfil your shop orders and coffee subscriptions.
• Let you sign in and manage your account, orders, and subscription.
• Send order and subscription messages related to a purchase you made.
• Understand how the site is used so we can improve it.

We do not sell your personal information.

We share information only with the service providers who help us run the site and fulfil orders:

• Stripe — payment processing for shop purchases and subscriptions.
• Toast — online food ordering, on its own site.
• Our email and analytics providers — to send account and order messages and to measure site usage.

These providers may handle your information only to provide their service to us. We don't sell or rent your personal information to anyone.

This site uses cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in and to gather the aggregate analytics described above. Most browsers let you block or delete cookies in their settings; some parts of the site (like signing in) may not work as well if you do.

We keep your information for as long as reasonably needed to provide the service — for example, to maintain your account and subscription, keep order records, and meet legal or accounting requirements — and then delete or anonymize it.

You can ask us to access or delete the personal information we hold about you — just email us at general@ilovepearsons.com. You can manage or cancel a coffee subscription using the Manage Subscription link in the footer or your confirmation email.

This site is meant for a general audience and is not directed at children under 13. We don't knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we'll delete it.

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we'll change the effective date at the top of the page. Please check back now and then.
