When does the kitchen open?
Coffee and pastries at 7am. The kitchen fires up at 8:00am and runs until 3pm. 'Til then, show up hungry at 7am. A pastry will hold you over.
What is the best breakfast sandwich at Pearson's?
The Classic is bacon, ham, tempeh, or sausage with fried egg and cheddar on a milk bun. The Royale adds tomato jam, arugula, and confit garlic mayo. See the Kitchen.
What is the tiramisu latte?
Sweet mascarpone, espresso, oat milk, and a dusting of cocoa. Iced only, and our most-ordered item on DoorDash.
Do you have vegetarian or vegan options?
Yes. The Fried Eggplant Hoagie and Bright Salad are vegetarian. The Classic Sando and Breakfast Burrito can be made with tempeh. Ask at the counter about current vegan options.
Is your bread really made in-house?
Every bit of it. Sourdough, milk buns, hoagie rolls, and bagels, all baked at 23 Somerton St. Sourdough drops Friday through Sunday.
Does the Pearson's menu change?
The core breakfast and lunch menu is available daily. The pastry case is different every morning, and specials rotate seasonally. Check the Kitchen page or order through Toast.
Can I pre-order bakery items?
Yes, through Catering. Order sourdough, bagels, or a bakery box ahead of time through Toast for pickup. Toast also lets you schedule regular counter orders in advance, not just catering. Catering page.
Do you cater?
We do drop-off breakfast and lunch: pastry trays, bagel dozens, entrees, and Joe To-Go coffee. We can cater hundreds of people. We also supply bread and desserts to The Alexander and the Swan Family restaurants, including Vern's, Dorado, and Roux. Catering page.
What is the Found Meatball?
Vern's restaurant is famous for the Lost Meatball. At Pearson's, we found it: provolone, parmesan, basil, and EVOO on a house-made hoagie. Also available in bowl form with sourdough soldiers.
Do you have gluten-free options?
Some items can be adapted, but the kitchen is not a gluten-free environment. Greek Yogurt, Bright Salad, and some smoothies are naturally gluten-free. Ask at the counter.
Do you deliver?
Yes. Order for pickup or delivery. DoorDash is also available.
What is your service area?
Counter orders deliver through Toast and DoorDash, so the radius is whatever they show at checkout from 23 Somerton St. Catering is drop-off in and around Rochester: email catering@swanfamilyofrestaurants.com with your address and we will confirm. Does Pearson's offer coffee subscriptions?
Three tiers: Rover ($16/bag), Stray ($16/bag), and Pick of the Litter ($18/bag). Weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly. Subscribe.
Can I buy Pearson's coffee beans online?
Five coffees, right on the Shop page: Rover, Stray, Colombia Huila, Ethiopia Yirgacheffe, and Decaf Colombia. Whole bean or ground.
Does Pearson's sell wholesale coffee?
Yes. Bulk or by the case, delivered Fridays. Email general@ilovepearsons.com with the subject "Wholesale Coffee Inquiry." Wholesale.
How do I manage my coffee subscription?
Use the Manage Subscription link in the footer or your confirmation email to update your card, change your shipping address, or cancel. If you move, change the address in the same portal and the shipping price on your subscription updates for the new ZIP. To pause, to change your coffee or your delivery schedule, or to change how many bags you get, email general@ilovepearsons.com.
How much is shipping?
At checkout you enter your address and pick a carrier service, USPS or UPS, and pay that carrier's price with no markup from us. If live carrier prices cannot be fetched at that moment, our standard flat rate applies instead. Subscriptions pay the same way on every delivery, and the price is re-quoted if your address changes. Orders ship from our fulfillment partner.

What are Pearson's hours?
The cafe opens at 7am; the kitchen runs 8:00am-3pm. Mon-Thu close at 4pm, Fri-Sun close at 6pm.
Where is Pearson's and where do I park?
23 Somerton Street, Rochester, NY 14607, just off Park Ave. There's a small lot on Somerton plus free street parking. The lot fills up on weekend mornings, so street is your backup. Get directions.
Do you have wifi, and can I work from Pearson's?
Yes. Free wifi, no login screen, no time limit. Downstairs is the social floor; upstairs is quiet, with outlets, natural light, and room to spread out. There's also a private room you can reserve; book your private space.
Is Pearson's wheelchair accessible?

How do I book the conference room at Pearson's?
Seats 10, $50/hour, in 1-to-4-hour blocks. WiFi TV with AirPlay. Pre-order food from the kitchen. Book a room.
Can I host a private event at Pearson's?
Yes. The conference room for small events, The Coop for seasonal outdoor events. Email events@swanfamilyofrestaurants.com. Catering menu.
Is Pearson's dog-friendly?
The Coop is outdoors. Dogs welcome. Inside, service animals are always welcome.

Is Pearson's the same as Glen Edith Coffee Roasters?
No. Glen Edith Coffee Roasters roasted coffee in this building before Pearson's. Pearson's opened in 2022 in the same space and made it its own.
What is the relationship between Pearson's and Bevy?
Bevy is a modern, Levantine-leaning rotisserie restaurant that shares a patio with Pearson's. Same family, connected by the Coop, an outdoor patio open now. ilovebevy.com.
